Long cherish goal, of becoming a HAM….

I had dream of becoming Ham since my engineering days, but college is over and there was burden of becoming pro into networking. Right guess I am into Computer Networking. But Computer aside i always wanted to be a Networking Guy. Person connecting people, mingling thoughts with others and sharing knowledge. Ham sounded some Gizmo freak geeky scientist to me then, but to be very frank i got “Ham Radio For Dummies (Apr 2004) - H. Ward Silver” ISBN 0-7645-5987-7.  I already have a ARRL’s 2008 Handbook. I am planning to acquire License by this March.

But i think there is lots of things to gobble and tons to cram.. i will soon add more blogrolls to help being a real HAM ster doing Dx-ing. But yes logically speaking it should take me another week or so to complete the Dummies series and when I plan to dwell more into ARRL’s Handbook.

And as for obtaining a Ham License sounds difficult the art of continuing being an active HAM is lot more difficult.

I will list most of the books, software i am going to use through out this endeavour of being a HAM, I will be interested in publishing notes or text i’ll use but i will like to hear from experienced as well as noob’s like me. so please comment
